Holidays of Hope 2025: Creating Connection and Dignity Through Community
Nov 27, 2025
Prince George, BC — November 24, 2025 — Picture this: steaming mugs, the gentle clatter of plates, warm laughter echoing through a hall shimmering with light. Holidays of Hope is more than an event—it’s a safe harbour of compassion, joy, and belonging for our neighbours living with mental illness, disabilities, or substance use disorders.
For many, the holiday season brings challenges of loneliness and isolation. But in Prince George, every year, Holidays of Hope opens its doors—a place where community gathers, stories are shared, a nourishing meal awaits, and every guest receives a thoughtfully chosen gift. It is a tradition built by kindness, strengthened by community, and sustained by hope.
How You Can Help Bring Hope This Season
We invite you to help us bring hope to life by donating gift cards for 250 attendees.Gift cards—simple but profound—offer dignity, choice, and the small freedoms that mean so much: groceries, winter essentials, or a treat that sparks comfort.
Donations in $20–$50 amounts from local grocery stores, pharmacies, or major retailers (Walmart, Superstore, Save-On-Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart) can be dropped off at:

Your generosity has warmed many hearts over the years—thank you for standing with us and making the holidays brighter for all.
“This event is a celebration of the human spirit,” says Nansi Long, Executive Director, BC Schizophrenia Society Prince George Branch. “It reminds us everyone deserves kindness, especially during the holidays. Your gift can uplift in ways you may never see—but will always be felt.”
