We’re just getting started. Our goal is to expand and improve food programs and services in our community. We need your support to help us get there.

Donation FAQs

How do I make a donation to Nourish Food Bank?
We accept cash, cheques, grocery gift cards, and goods.

Mail a cheque:
Made out to: Canadian Mental Health Association of Northern BC
Mailing address: 102-345 Anderson Drive, Quesnel, BC, V2J 1G3

Drop off your donation in person:
Donations can be dropped off at Nourish Food Bank, located at 101 Marsh Drive, during open hours or call 250-991-0481 to make other arrangements. Pickup may be possible.

Donate online:
Go to our CanadaHelps donation page to make a customizable, one-time or reoccurring donation.

Can I receive a tax receipt for a cash donation?
Yes! Canadian Mental Health Association of Northern BC is a registered charity. We issue tax receipts upon request for donations of $20 or more.

Will you accept fresh produce from our garden?
Yes, please! We use produce in meals for our Lunch Program, and distribute it fresh to community members in need, and to other local food programs.

Do you accept non-perishable items past the Best Before date?
We do! We follow the BCCDC and Food Banks Canada guidelines for Best Before Dates and Expiry Dates. If you’re unsure, bring it on by and we’ll sort it appropriately.
All food items must be unopened, in original packaging with labels, and free of signs of spills and stains.

Do you accept homemade items such as meals, baked goods and canned goods?
We’re sure they’re tasty and appreciate your generosity but unfortunately, we do not.

Can I donate personal hygiene, toiletry, and household cleaning products?
If items are unopened, we will gladly accept them.
