Community Support Worker Training Program

The Community Support Worker Training Program is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required to provide essential support and assistance to diverse populations within their communities. This program is ideal for compassionate and empathetic individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on people’s lives and helping them overcome various challenges.
Program Eligibility:
- Active Regular Employment Insurance (EI) Benefits
- EI reachback: have had regular EI benefits within the previous 60 months.
- Worked for at least 5 years out of the last 10 years in Canada + have earned more than $2,000 in insurable earnings and have paid employee EI premiums on those earnings in at least 5 of the last 10 years (Note: the 5 years do not have to be consecutive years)
- BCEA clients
Admission Requirements:
- TB test, & criminal record check
- Grade 10 English or English language placement assessment test (ELPAT) or equivalent
